Reading a move
Biotech moves before the open
Answer in brief
Small drug developers often rest on one or two programmes, so a trial result or agency decision can double or halve the stock. Read the endpoint, the size of the effect and the cash position before trusting the move.
Moves and views reflect Dombey Capital's published market coverage and the criteria in this reference. It is not a complete feed of every move in the market.
Read the endpoint
Did the trial meet its primary endpoint, and by how much? A "positive" headline can hide a small effect or a secondary endpoint.
Check the cash
A company with little cash will often sell shares after good news. Check the latest quarterly filing for cash and expected runway.
